eReader Checkout Program

The eReader Circulation Program at the Northern Tier Library allows you to check out eReaders preloaded with a collection of books.  You can take the reader with you and read as many books as you’d like.  We hope this program will allow you to preview a new technology and give you a chance to experience reading an eBook.
If you purchase or already own an eReader the library has eBooks you can check out for free at http://carnegie.lib.overdrive.com. The service is called Overdrive.

eReader Circulation Policy:

• eReaders can only be checked out and returned directly to the Northern Tier Regional Library.
• eReaders must be returned inside the library, not in an outside book drop.
• eReaders circulate for 21 days and cannot be renewed. Overdue charges are $10 a day.
• Patrons cannot download new materials or delete old materials from the readers.
• Patron is responsible for returning the eReader in the same condition as it left. 
• Exposure to water or dropping the device can cause damage.
• Patron agrees to reimburse the library for the cost of the device if device is stolen or is broken.
